About the Role:

As a Solutions Architect – Apps & Infrastructure, you will design and modernize cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions that power enterprise scalability, resilience, and security. You will lead application modernization initiatives, architect landing zones across hyperscalers, and implement DevSecOps pipelines that enable rapid, secure delivery.

Your expertise will guide organizations through complex migrations and infrastructure transformations while ensuring business continuity and operational excellence.

This is a customer-facing role requiring strong collaboration with clients, pre-sales teams, and delivery stakeholders, including occasional onsite engagements to support workshops, design sessions, and solution validation activities.

What you’ll do:

Solution Design & Strategy

• Architect hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP that support business scalability and performance requirements
• Design Azure Landing Zones following Cloud Adoption Framework principles for enterprise-grade deployments
• Define application modernization strategies including monolith-to-microservices transformations, containerization, and serverless architectures
• Create Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) architectures ensuring organizational resilience
• Design network segmentation, VPN, and WAN optimization solutions aligned with Hybrid Zero Trust principles
• Design and govern source control and DevSecOps architectures using platforms such as GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps Repos, or equivalent Git-based systems
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and Azure Copilot to accelerate solution design, infrastructure as code development, and operational insights

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Collaborate with business units and technical teams to refine infrastructure and application modernization requirements
• Translate complex cloud migration, containerization, and DevSecOps concepts into actionable roadmaps for stakeholders
• Lead architecture reviews for infrastructure migrations, landing zone implementations, and modernization initiatives
• Align infrastructure strategy with organizational growth and digital transformation objectives
• Conduct customer-facing architecture workshops, design reviews, and technical deep dives, including onsite sessions when required
• Partner with pre-sales teams to shape solution strategies, contribute to proposals, and support client presentations and technical validations

Project Execution & Governance

• Oversee infrastructure migration lifecycles across hyperscalers from assessment to deployment and optimization
• Define architecture guardrails for CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep, Terraform), and DevSecOps practices
• Establish quality benchmarks for container orchestration, serverless deployments, and infrastructure reliability
• Collaborate with project managers to align infrastructure delivery timelines and technical risk mitigation strategies

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay current with cloud platform innovations, container technologies, and infrastructure automation tools
• Analyze infrastructure performance and cost optimization opportunities post-deployment
• Contribute to architecture playbooks for landing zones, modernization patterns, and DevSecOps frameworks
• Develop reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and standardized deployment models to accelerate delivery across clients
• Engage in peer reviews and mentoring to uplift team capabilities in infrastructure and application modernization

Here’s what you’ll need:

Core Expertise

• Expert proficiency in cloud platforms with deep focus on Azure, plus experience with AWS and GCP
• Strong experience with Azure Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework implementation
• Deep understanding of application modernization including microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures
• Proven experience with DevSecOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using ARM/Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools
• Knowledge of network architecture including segmentation, VPN, SD-WAN, and WAN optimization
• Understanding of Hybrid Zero Trust Architecture and security posture design

Developer Platforms & AI-Assisted Engineering

• Strong understanding of Git-based source control platforms, including GitHub Enterprise, with exposure to enterprise governance, security, and compliance models
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Azure Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, and architectural decision-making

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon EKS, or Google Kubernetes Engine
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Ability to design and implement BCDR strategies with tested recovery procedures
• Strong analytical skills in evaluating infrastructure scalability, performance optimization, and cost management
• Working knowledge of Azure CSP billing models, subscription management, cost allocation, and customer billing considerations in partner-led environments
• Ability to translate Azure consumption, licensing, and cost drivers into clear guidance for customers and internal stakeholders

Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
• Effective leadership and mentorship capabilities within technical teams
• Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships across cross-functional domains
• Confident in customer-facing roles, including onsite engagements, executive briefings, and cross-functional coordination with sales, partners, and delivery teams

Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (required)
• Additional certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years in related roles focusing on infrastructure and application architecture

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch)
• Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing frameworks
• Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with developer experience (DevEx) practices and inner-source models using GitHub Enterprise
